Happy New Year!!
2012 brings with it so many great possibilities, and for me a new baking blog-venture! I have had aspirations to write cookbook for over a year now, and have found the task to be overwhelming; especially with my obsessive compulsive, perfectionist nature. I have learned a lot from “playing with my food” though, and thought I would use this format to share some of my misadventures with the world.
Baking is an art, and science. I find it fascinating, as well as, a great stress relief. I can work in my kitchen for hours on end creating things that I hope people will enjoy. I have made my fair share of mistakes, and taken the long road to success on occasion but I have had fun, and that’s all that really matters right? If I’m not in my kitchen, I’m usually at work… (sad face)… but when I’m not at work and I’m not in my kitchen then I’m watching television shows about cooking, and food, and presentation. There are so many great ways to learn about the nature of food and what you can do with it and what you probably should not do with it (Thank you, “Chopped”).
This year I hope to learn a little more, make some progress on my cookbook , and entertain you with my follies, as well as my occasional flashes of brilliance. I love to get the comments so feel free to let me know your thoughts, and thank you for reading!
